My little Mikah is a brave fighter. I decided to adopt him because we share a lot in common: like his dad (me) he has already looked death directly in the eyes and defeated her. He is now completely out of danger, and is the only one who has survived (out of 5). No one wanted him because they said he was not going to make it. Well, he held, with all he had at that time (1/2 lb.)-- on to this life, and his will to live prevailed. So tiny, so young, so helpless and such a rough start already.
Something was wrong with his biological mommy's milk and this is what killed the other four. She was in such distress that she could not stop shaking -- as if she were trying to tell everyone that she did not know why all her puppies were dying through no fault of her own.
We were able to find him a surrogate mother. A noble schnauzer mommy that took him right away as her own and has been taking care of him, cleaning him, keeping him warm, not leaving his side for a moment (it is even a struggle to take her away from him so that she can go potty), and feeding him. I have no doubt that she knows that he is weak and needs all her attention.
Loves to chew on my nose...
He is only 5 weeks, and I can already tell how noble he is going to be!
