Meet the Dogs

Berkley

Labrador Retriever   •   5 Years 1 Month
Owned by Courtney H.   •   Spruce, MI

What's unique about Berkley :
When you first meet Berkley you will notice how much he loves people by his friendly nature. He will rub on you like a cat and immediately become friends with you. He is excited but he contains it by wagging his tail and walking right beside you with a smile on his face and a glint in his eye. Berkley has really amazed us these past four months by his caring nature toward his grandma who is very sick. He spends his week days with her and often bring laughter and smiles to her face when she is sad and feeling alone. He understands that she can't throw the ball like everyone else and together they have their own style of play. It amazes me at how much joy he has brought to her life as well as his grandpa's life during such a trying time. He is one amazing animal.

Berkley 's History:
Berkley comes from a wonderful dog family of black, yellow, and red labs. He is a yellow lab, but he has been blessed with a very golden and shiny coat. He grew up loving the outdoors, chasing many tennis balls, going to puppy school, training for a 1/2 marathon with his mom, hunting and fishing with his dad, and eating lots of dog food and treats!

Berkley 's Favorite Things:
Berkley LOVES people! We always joke that he thinks of himself as a person as well. He loves being around people who will throw a ball, play tug, or just snuggle up. He enjoys running around outdoors with other dogs. Berkley has always been a big fan of treats and toys - which he often chews up in 10 minutes or less. Berkley's absolute most favorite things would have to be his parents and grandparents who give him unconditional love and care! He also loves to pose for pictures when a tennis ball is being held above the camera!
